Surf Festival goes Piratenland

The evening event starts on thursday with the legendary "Fiesta Extrema" , this is more than just a warm-up. You will see record world champion Björn Dunkerbeck and lots of other cool windsurf stars. The highlight is the release party of the DVD "Cabo Verde 2007", which shows you the the PWA World Tour 2007 on the Cabo Verde Islands.
On friday the long waiting has an end, you will see the brandnew film "Plug n' Play 2" on a huge screen presented by Tonix Pictures GmbH.
The radio station N - Joy Radio from hamburg make sure that you can listen to great music all night long.
On saturday N - Joy Radio will be there again with "N - Joy the party". You also will see the DVD release party "Flashback" by Andre Paskowski and Sebastian Doerr.

All evening events take place in the Piratenland at the Südstrand on Fehmarn. For 15€ you will get the ultimate partyticket for all 3 nights inclusive a free drink and the daily VW Multivan Shuttle service.

This year at the Multivan Surf Festival Fehmarn we are proud to have N - Joy Radio here as one of the supporters. The radio station from hamburg will play their music 3 nights long. During the 4 days N - Joy Radio will feed the windsurf stars, tester and audience with some great music from the tower at the event area.

Surf Magazin 30's anniversary

At that time Ulrich Stanciu has written all the texts on a 100 year old typewriter and as the first editorial manager he arranged the first issue of the Surf Magazin. In may 1977 the "bible for windsurfers" had their first release, the issue was published in the Delius Klasing Verlag.
In may this year when the Surf Magazin will celebrate his 30'sanniversary, 327 issues have been released til now.
In 2002 when the Surf Magazin was celebrating their 25th anniversary Ulrich Stanicu wrote: "Windsurfen ist reifer geworden, aber trotzdem frisch geblieben".
With a history race we and our readers will celebrate Surf Magazin 30's anniversary.

History of Windsurfing – Charchulla-Twins show you the history of windsurfing

At the Surf Festival at the Gardasee, the "history of windsurfing" was favoured by the audience. After that the exposition was shown in europe and in america. Now "history of windsurfing" will be presented on Fehmarn by the legendary Charchulla brothers.
You will see the exposition on huge blackboards starting in 1965 when inventor Jim Drake first went on the water in Marina del Rey, the story ends in 2006 where you get to see all aspects in windsurfing. The highlights of the exposition are some exhibit of the collection of the Charchulla brothers, from the first trapeze til some exotic boards and sails. The exposition will be presented in a huge tent on the event area.

“F2 Speed Challenge 2007“ Fehmarn

Which Speedjunkie hasn't dream of it to compete against the fastest windsurfers in the world? For Example against the Speed world record holder Finian Maynard or record world championship Björn Dunkerbeck.
With the F2 Speedchallenge at the Multivan Surf Festival on Fehmarn you get the opportunity to make your wish come true.
Every participant will get the official Multivan Surf Festival 2007 Shirt and a F2 Speed Ticket.
The Winner of the Speedchallenge will get a wildcard including flight and accommodation to the Speedworldcup 2007 on Fuerteventura.
At the F2 Speedchallenge there are no rules, everyone at every age can take part at this challenge and you can use the equipment you want. You can use old equipment or the newer one for example F2 Missile or the new equipment from one of the 34 exhibiting companies.

Beat the Pro’s - The Ultimate Race Championship

Who is going to get the famous crown in windsurfing? Who is going to win both events and get the title "Sailboard Crown Champion? Don't miss that competition! The pro's and am's will surf against each other at a eight course, the competition will take an hour. Everyone will get some cool prizes, the winner will get a brandnew Slalom Board "Mistral LS" and 300€ cash.
The person who will also win at the Surf Festival in Brouwersdam from 14th - 16th september 2007, the second tourstop of Mistral Sailboard Crown, becomes a member of the Mistral Team International and gets a place in the catalouge.

GERMAN PRO KID FREESTYLE TROPHPY presented by STARBOARD

Watch out Kids: STARBOARD is going to send you the the world championship.

The "German Pro Kid Freestyle Trophy" takes place during 17th may til 20th may at the Multivan Surf-Festival Fehmarn.

There will be 2 different age groups U 15 and U 17, so every young windsurf talent can prove their skills. A Jury with some well-known persons is going to rate you.

The winner will get a special price from STARBOARD - a flight for free to the world championship "Freestyle Pro Kids Worlds" in Bonaire.
The organizers Julia Burkamp and Sebastian Ronneberger nominated Max Droege as the winner last year, at the „Freestyle Pro Kids Worlds“ he made the 5th place.

You can registrate for the „German Pro Kid Freestyle Trophy“ now online or at the event on 17th may til 14:00.

The first possible start will be on 17th may at 15:00. The 2 best talents of the 2 age groups will be in the Super Finals, the Winner will get the flight to Bonaire.

Race around Fehrmarn

3 hours and 2 minutes, that was the record time last year at the Multivan Surf-Festival 2007 at Fehmarn.
The current record holder Helge Wilkens needed 3 hours and 2 minutes to win that race at a storm force of 4 last year.
This year we have 4 professional athletes of kitesurfing, Hobie Cat and windsurfing. They have to race 80 kilometers around Fehmarn.
The organizers really hope that the storm force will be 6 (south west), so the athletes get a chance to establish a new record.
For the safety there will be a 9 meters long accompanying boat close by the athletes. The viewer of the race gets the opportunity to watch the event live from a tv in the catering at the event area. The drivers are equipped with a Fidelack GPS, so you will see the sailing speed, coordinates and the current ranking.

So we may be courios who will be the fastest at the "Race Around Fehmarn 2007"

Flashback - Video Premiere

Andre Paskowski and Sebastian Doerr present "Flashback", the new windsurf DVD starring Ricardo Campello and his friends.
You will see lots of freestyle and waveaction. The makers of "Wet and Salty" travelled to the Canarian Islands, Venezuela, Brasil, Hawaii, New York and the Cap Verde Islands to film the Freestyle World Champion Ricardo Campello and his crazy friends.
At the world premiere Ricardo, Tonky and his friends will be there to party with the film makers and all other windsurf stars.
